McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

Educational Talent Search (ETS)

Educational Talent Search (ETS) program identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to and complete their postsecondary education.ETS

FREE services provided by the program include:
•         Academic, financial, career, or personal counseling
•         Career exploration 
•         Tutorial services
•         Information on postsecondary education
•         Exposure to college campuses
•         Information on student financial assistance
•         Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications
•         Workshops for the families of participants

The Special Education Department of the Aldine Independent School District offers free early childhood assessments for children between 3 and 5 years of age who are not currently enrolled in school.

In order to qualify for these services, the child must have severe deficits in speech, language development, motor, physical problems, hearing loss and/or impaired vision.

If you feel that your child may have one or more problems as described above, please contact Jose de Santiago EC/Pre-Kindergarten Play Based Assessment Team (PBAT) at 281-985-7519 for more information.

Screening for your child must be scheduled now in order for the student to start school in August.  Call today to schedule an appointment if you have concerns with your child’s development.                                                                    

El departamento de educación especial del Distrito de Aldine ofrece evaluaciones para clases del Early Childhood (Intervención Temprana).
Las clases son para niños entre 3 y 5 años de edad que no asisten a la escuela.

Este programa es para niños que estan atrasados en el lenguaje o habla, los que son incapacitados fisicamente, visualmente, y/o que tienen problemas con la audición.

Si usted sospecha que su niño/a tenga uno de estos problemas, llame al examinador/a diagnostico en Jose de Santiago EC/Pre-Kindergarten (PBAT) a 281-985-7519.  Podremos darle mas información por telefono.

Una evaluacion para su hijo debe ser programada ahora para que los niños puedan empezar clases en agosto.  Favor de llamar hoy para hacer una cita si tiene preocupaciones del desarroyo de su hijo/a.
