Walter Stewart
Principal

Walter Stewart has been an administrator in Aldine ISD since 2005. He was an Assistant Principal for three years at Aldine Middle School, then a Principal of Aldine Ninth Grade for five years.  For the past seven years he has served as Principal of Aldine Senior High School. Mr. Stewart was selected Aldine ISD Secondary Principal of the Year in 2012 and 2017. 

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education in May of 1991 from Southern University A & M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mr. Stewart taught in the Louisiana public school system for five years before he moved to Houston, Texas. He began teaching at MacArthur Senior High School, where in nine years he served as Geometry Level Leader, Mathematics Department Chairperson, and was honored by his peers as Teacher of the Year in 2004. Mr. Stewart earned his Master of Education in Administration and Supervision at Southern University in the summer of 2001.

Through formal collaborations, presentations, and trainings while serving on various educational committees at the campus, district, and state levels during his twenty-eight year tenure in the field of education, Mr. Stewart has made the most of his opportunities to empower professional colleagues and students alike.

Christina Burggraf

Christina Burggraf brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student success to our campus. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from Bemidji State University. Furthering her expertise, Ms. Burggraf obtained a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics from Walden University and a Principal Certification from Lamar University.

With 21 years dedicated to Aldine ISD, Ms. Burggraf has served in various impactful roles including teacher, interventionist, Instructional Specialist, and Assistant Principal. She firmly believes that all students can learn, and is committed to meeting them where they are, nurturing their academic and social growth through a steadfast commitment to education.  

 

Darrell Antwine

Darrell W. Antwine, Jr. brings a passion for educational leadership and a strong commitment to student success to Nimitz High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas State University and an Executive Master of Public Administration from Texas Southern University.

Mr. Antwine has served in impactful roles including teacher, department head, grade-level chair, athletic coach, and campus leader. At Nimitz Ninth Grade School, he contributed to instructional improvement, student engagement, and campus safety through his work on the Threat Assessment Team and Campus Educational Advisory Committee.

He believes all students can achieve at high levels and is dedicated to fostering their academic, social, and emotional growth through high expectations, strong relationships, and a collaborative school environment.

 

Francis Nathan

A seasoned educational leader with 22 years of experience in Texas public schools, Mr. Nathan brings a rich background in mathematics instruction, athletics, and administration to his leadership roles. A native of Southeast Texas, he completed his foundational education at West Brook High School in Beaumont before earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Mathematics from Lamar University. He later completed his Master of Education at Prairie View A&M University.

Mr. Nathan spent the first eight years of his career in the classroom, laying a strong foundation in student engagement, inclusive teaching, and school spirit:

  • Edison Middle School (Port Arthur, TX): Taught 6th and 8th-grade Math, along with Algebra I, for two years while coaching football and basketball.

  • Aldine ISD: Taught 8th-grade Math across standard and co-teach settings for six years, while coaching football, basketball, and soccer.

Building on his instructional expertise, Mr. Nathan transitioned into school administration, serving as an Assistant Principal for the past 14 years within Aldine ISD:

  • MacArthur Senior High School: Served as Assistant Principal for 7 years.

  • Aldine 9th Grade School: Served as Curriculum Assistant Principal for 5 years.

  • Davis 9th Grade School: Served as Curriculum Assistant Principal for 2 years.

Throughout his career, Mr. Nathan has remained dedicated to fostering academic growth, supporting instructional quality, and championing student success both inside and outside the classroom.
